Dr. Billinger received his medical training at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Following graduation, he completed a three year residency at the University of Iowa, where he earned his certification as a specialist in Periodontology, also known as the study of the supporting structures of teeth, as well as the diseases and conditions that affect them. Additionally, Dr. Billinger has also earned a Masters of Sciences in Oral Microbiology from the University of Iowa.
